Our Naturome fruit ingredients are the by-products of fresh fruit puree production, performed by our longstanding Naturals Together™ partner Trade Solutions.
When Trade Solutions produce their fruit puree, they recover part of the volatiles otherwise lost during the pasteurization step to produce the Naturomes. The pasteurized fruit puree corresponds to their main stream, while the retrieved Naturomes ensure zero waste and loss.
NATUROME is a range of water based distillates, produced from a large number of fruits and other biomasses.
The process is a type of distillation only using water, steam or volatile recovery.
dsm-firmenich has a long standing exclusive supply agreement with Naturals Together partner, in Scotland, who collects and processes fruits. This partner, specialized in soft fruit process, supplies mainly from a network surrounding local farmers of fruits of different kinds.
Naturals Together Partner has a sustainable approach of the supply by upcycling the excess of fruit production, and ugly fruits. In this partnership, dsm-firmenich has installed its own equipment of Naturome volatile recovery technology at source.
